Australian curriculum by state and territory
Australia has a national curriculum set by ACARA, but the states and territories do not all deliver it the same way. Some teach it directly, while New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia use their own or an adapted framework. Pick your jurisdiction to see what it uses, how it lines up with the national curriculum, and where our worksheets fit.
Our worksheets are mapped to the national ACARA v9 Mathematics codes, and every maths answer key is computed in code, so the answers are never wrong. We map honestly: for the three states with their own framework we align by topic and year band rather than claiming an exact code match.
Own or adapted framework
These jurisdictions do not teach the national curriculum as-is.
New South Wales teaches its own NESA syllabuses, organised by Stage rather than single year, and informed by (but not identical to) the national curriculum.
New South Wales curriculum and worksheets βVictoria teaches the Victorian Curriculum F to 10, its own version of the national curriculum, organised by Level. English 2.0 and Mathematics 2.0 are required from 2025.
Victoria curriculum and worksheets βWestern Australia teaches the Western Australian Curriculum, an adaptation of the national curriculum from Kindergarten and Pre-primary to Year 10, kept close to the national structure by SCSA.
Western Australia curriculum and worksheets βTeach the national Australian Curriculum
These jurisdictions adopt ACARA v9 directly, so our nationally mapped worksheets apply without changes. The main thing that varies is the name of the first year of school.
