Reading Comprehension: Where Rain Comes From
Read the passage carefully, then answer the questions in full sentences.
Rain starts with the sun. The sun heats water in the sea, in rivers and in puddles. The warm water turns into a gas we cannot see. This gas rises high into the sky. Up high, the air is cold. The gas turns back into tiny drops of water. Many drops join to make a cloud. When the drops get too big and heavy, they fall down as rain. Then the rain fills the rivers again.
- 1.What heats the water at the start?
- 2.What happens to the warm water?
- 3.What is made when many tiny drops join together?
- 4.Why do the drops fall down as rain?
