Every Tuesday, Priya helped Ms Chen tidy the school library. This week, something odd kept happening. Each time Priya shelved the dinosaur books, one would appear on the reading rug the next morning , always open to the page about velociraptors.
Priya decided to investigate. On Thursday, she hid behind the beanbags before the first bell. Soon a small boy from Year 1 tiptoed in. He pulled out the dinosaur book, sat cross-legged on the rug, and began sounding out the words to himself.
"You must really like velociraptors," Priya said gently. The boy froze, then nodded. "I can't get a library card until next term," he whispered. Priya smiled. "Then I'll ask Ms Chen to keep this one on the rug for you."
